Oh Dear. Now I've Done It.

I've gone and dyed my hair fire-engine-red. (I know, I know, redheads shouldn't wear pink.)

Tomorrow, tomorrow! I love ya, tomorrow!

I've always wanted to be a redhead. They're so saucy! So sexy! So unconventional! So daring!

I tried some strawberry blonde shades. (I don't even remember what my natural color is.) And they looked cute. But they just weren't that fiery red I crave! I wanna be Marcia-Cross-red!

So I picked up a color called "Desert Sunrise." Could they be any more vague? I've never been to the desert, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't look anything like this in the morning!

You're only a daaaay aaaa-waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

And it sure doesn't look like the color on the box. If it's still this color in the morning, I sure as hell ain't going to church.

Lucky Husband -- he gets to pretend he's having sex with a mysterious stranger tonight! A saucy, mysterious stranger!

I am pretty positive that this is all my fault.

Yeah.

Now darling, while it isn't perhaps fire engine (why oh WHY does she not consult with me before purchasing haircolor I will NEVER know.Color number should be 645 or 6 or 7 for max lift and brightness, fyi)Marcia-Cross-red, it IS a pretty shade of copper red. And damn me, but you hair looks super soft and silky. AND SHINY!!!

(oh, and if redheads shouldn't wear pink, then I'm going STRAIGHT TO HELL, cause I wear baby pink and FUSCHIA. Hows that for unconventional? It's all a question of what-SHADE-of-pink, really. Redheads should NOT wear red. Unless it's like a brick red (see Crayola Box of 64)or a wine red. Red red, like ferrari red, is just.... wrong. Screw the whole pink theory. )

Bottom line is this: I think it's pretty, (seems to go with your skin tone although SAID BLACK BOX kinda doesn't let me judge properly, Wench.)even though it's not the exact shade of RED!! you were hoping for.

PS: why does this damn comment-thingie NEVER remember my Info?

Dude! That's awesome! And I think it's closer to a Mary Jane Watson red! But that's just the comic book geek in me.

Never remembers my info, either, Scarlett.

I have been to the desert (lived in it for the first two-thirds of my life), and in parts of it, yes, it does look like that at sunrise. The red-rocks area of southeastern Utah looks like something that more properly belongs on the surface of Mars.

I love the photo, can't wait to see the red in person, dahlink!

for the record, when I was a redhead, pink was the best color for me! strangely enough, when I had pink hair, orange wasn't as cute a combo.

I'm Shocked that I'm the only person to ask:

do the cuffs match the collar? (giggle)

PS: Redheads can wear whatever the hell they (we) like! Heh.

What, you're doing Pepsi commercials now?

Don't be too surprised if people start dousing your head with buckets of water.
